The printing colors of the world are dreamt up at Pantone, where scientists with near-perfect color vision (that's explained in the video below) create all the printing colors we use everyday. It's fascinating!
We used chains, cranes, crates, bananas, measuring tapes, tape, spray paint, plastic, trucks, gloves, more bananas, drills, saws, hammers, lifts, ladders and the like to get King Kong into her new home here at Associated Labels and Packaging.
WHAT IS THE 2016 PANTONE COLOUR OF THE YEAR? A symbolic colour selection; a colour snapshot of what we see taking place in our culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.
Being Canadian, in our willingness not to offend anybody, we have measured King Kong, professionally referred to as the Windmoeller & Hoelscher 52” MIRAFLEX AM 10 Colour Flexographic Printing Press, in metric and imperial.
Officially, King Kong is almost four Queen Elizabeth's tall! King Kong, professionally referred to as the Windmoeller & Hoelscher 52” MIRAFLEX AM 10 Colour Flexographic Printing Press, is flexible packaging royalty.
Because nothing happened. The only remarkable thing that happened today, was that dude in the background (on top of our new press King Kong) hummed Alanis Morissette all day, it was like riding an emotional rollercoaster.
After a long journey at sea King Kong, known in the industry as the Windmoeller & Hoelscher 52″ MIRAFLEX AM 10 Colour Flexographic Printing Press, has come out of her shipping crate. As the riggers set her up, we can see she is going to be real comfortable in her new home at Associated Labels and Packaging, Kanada (as the Germans say).
