New Capability: Laser Scoring

It's been almost two years since we acquired our SEI Packmaster Laser systems, which expanded our capabilities significantly. In addition to being able to macro-perforate and micro-perforate film, we can now offer laser scoring on stand-up pouches!

Laser scoring creates a consistent, precise tear on a stand-up pouch without sacrificing the integrity of the packaging or the barrier properties. By running the lasers with 0.01mm spacing between pulses, the result is what looks like a solid line. However, this scores a line on one of the several material substrates, which creates a straight tear when pulled open. This new capability is available as an add-on to any customers ordering stand-up pouches.
