Does Your Packaging Represent Your Brand?

We all know that packaging is an extension of your brand, but does it truly represent what you stand for?

Some factors may be apparent, such as using your brand colours in your design and staying consistent with your fonts. Some elements may not be as obvious but are still imperative to your branding’s strength.

For example, suppose your company’s goals are to make your products more sustainable. You release a sustainable line of products without considering your packaging. In that case, there’s a disconnect in your branding. Although it might not be immediately visible that your packaging is sustainable, consumers are savvier than ever. They hold the companies they purchase from accountable for any inconsistencies in brand messing. This is one of many reasons why it’s so important to ensure that your packaging is part of the process when creating goals for your products.

Another example could be if your brand or products are all about convenience and accessibility. It would make sense to include convenient packaging features like resealable openings or tear notches.

Perhaps the most common example when it comes to packaging is when brands source all of their products locally but purchase their packaging overseas. At Associated, we understand the importance of local partnerships and we pride ourselves on sourcing almost everything we use, purchase, and produce in North America.

These are just a few instances of many, and an important reminder to ensure your packaging is part of the process when making changes to your company goals or products. To speak to someone who can assist, reach out to one of our packaging specialists here or request a quote online today.
