Celebrating Safely with ALP

The holiday season usually brings a whirlwind of festivities at Associated Labels and Packaging. From raffles and draws to the Christmas party and a pub night, December is typically a pretty full month!

Of course, due to the current circumstances, we had to make some adjustments and celebrate a little differently this year.

Instead of our annual holiday party with a Christmas dinner, our President, Shaun, put together gift bags for each of our ALP family members to share with their family at home. With the help of our favourite local food spot, Rocco’s Deli, we included some pasta, two delicious pasta sauces, and a few other treats, as well as a handy hand sanitizer from our customers down the street, AG Hair.

We also put a little spin on our raffles this year! For example, to enter for a chance to win a TV, employees had to digitally submit a “good vibe” from the year: a few sentences or a picture showing something positive they experienced in 2020. After an influx of positivity, the winner was selected through a random draw!

Lastly, we weren’t able to collect for a physical food drive at our facility this year, so we decided to collect e-transfers and non-physical donations for Backpack Buddies. This local organization works with schools and social workers to feed children in need across British Columbia.

This year’s holiday season definitely looks a little different, but we hope everyone can still celebrate safely!
